Why do you believe what you believe? Did you have an experience? Was something modeled for you or did someone say something to you that created your core beliefs. The real question is are your current core beliefs working for you or do they no longer serve you? We would work collaboratively on identifying your beliefs and finding ways in which we can challenge them or celebrate them!

Wise words from the great Lao Tzu. The goal is to not forget the past or distract from the future but to use the past to help guide you in the here and now. I will work with you to help you feel more connected with self, others and your environment.
My Approach
Why BetterSelf and what led me to be a counselor?
BetterSelf actually got it's name from my husband, I have to give him the credit! I thought about it for a long time and was trying to come up with all these creative names and I realized he was so right, "let's just call it for what it is." BetterSelf, the place you can come to improve self! With that said, I am not indicating that anything is wrong with you as a person but we all deserve the opportunity to evolve and I am here to help guide you through the process! Life has a crazy way of leading you to where you belong and I was born a counselor.
It definitely took me some time to get to this point but my whole life I found myself helping others and battling my own struggles. Tenacity and resilience were two words that guided me through my own struggles, and let's face it, we are all human and just trying to navigate this thing called "life." I took some time to put together my own puzzle pieces to find that being a counselor was the right fit for me and I am loving the puzzle I created. I would be honored to help you put your puzzle pieces together and create whatever it is you want for your life.
Life is messy and full of beauty. I don't have all the answers, I can't wave a wand and magically make things change, and I certainly can't make your dreams come true, but I can be there to support you while you make all of these things happen for yourself. I will be there guiding you, holding your hand when needed, and cheering you on from the side line as you put together your own puzzle.
Therapy is hard work. The fact that you have already mustered the courage to come to this site proves the fight that you are willing to put in. Please know that I will challenge you and call you out when you need it, but I will also be there to support you and praise your accomplishments. I can promise you one thing if you are willing to put in the work, you will see the results.
